Introduce legislation defining acts of violence against women as Hate Crimes based on gender bias.

In light of the increasing number of acts of violence against females of all ages, we are requesting that such acts be classified as Hate Crimes committed because of a bias against the female gender. We believe that the penalties will be more severe if these crimes are considered Federal felonies, and prosecutors will have more opportunities to prosecute them under Federal guidelines, freeing victims from the necessity of navigating inconsistent state laws and offering more deterrents to future acts of violence against women and girls.
