The electoral college was created to give voice to Americans at a time when the technology did not exist to count the votes of our citizens in a timely manner.
The technology DOES now exist and the electoral college has been turned into a way to corrupt the process of electing a president. It is time that the president's election be done by the majority of the people by simply counting who got the most votes.
