As an alternative to all of the state petitions for secession which have been rejected, introduce legislation forcing the District of Columbia and all of the inhabitants contained therein to secede (forcibly including all of the lawyers, lobbyists, bureaucrats, and politicians) to allow the 50 States to form a new Federal Government which actually represents the will of the people, adheres to and defends the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and implements responsible stewardship of the nation.
