Many private healthcare providers offer little to no coverage for mental health issues. Of those that do, most do so only by covering medications from a primary healthcare physician. This causes widespread misdiagnoses as well as abuse of psychiatric medications. Several groups of mental health patients, such as sufferers of ADHD and PTSD, who do not qualify for Obamacare/Medicaid, are unable to finance the in-depth treatment they need. Healthcare providers will not sufficiently cover mental healthcare needs affordably in insurance plans without regulation. We ask for a bill to be introduced proposing regulations to the healthcare industry to end this oversight.
