Indefinite terms in the U.S. Senate has become detrimental to the legislative process and has stagnated the Senate with strong party ties and blocs of voters voting Republican or Democratic only while not properly representing their states which is their only function in our government.
Limiting these terms to 2 consecutive terms can allow them to represent their states to the fullist of their ability without fear or pressure to retain their job by catering to their affiliation with their chosen party and perhaps get some fresh ideas into our government and reduce or eliminate the gridlock caused by partisan politics.
Career politicians can have an agenda to remain in politics forever and will tend to do whatever required by their party, not the states they represent to keep their jobs
