The grandfathering in of many legislators, partially due to the increased funding an incumbent receives just for being the incumbent, has created a stale House and Senate. We need fresh ideas and fresh faces, and incumbents should not be continuing in their positions just because they have been there for decades already. Congress is out of touch with citizenry because they have not been citizens themselves for so long, they need to have their power limited to a set number of terms, just like the President of the United States, instead of being able to run indefinitely!
