Elections in the United States have degraded to such an extent that affluent individuals, corporations and political action committees have an unfair capacity to sway elections by virtue of their wealth.
It would be best if campaign finance worked as close as possible to a vote itself. It should be restricted to an amount affordable by the vast majority of our voters and only on a per person basis.
Politicians should not just be accountable to the deepest wallets, but to all of our wallets, equally.
