To introduce legislation to set term limits on all House and Senate members

This petition has been introduced to try and end the career politics and corruption that comes with it in Washington. No person in their right mind can honestly say that they represent the common citizen when they have not held any position other than congressmen for 20 years or more! Term limits need to be set and terms need to be a length of time to allow for more than campaigning to be done. Set something like two terms of five years per branch and change the pay scale to a merit based scale on total votes and participation in sessions. Stagger the elections so 1/3 of congress comes up to re-election every two years. This approach would break up the old guard of career politicians who have completely lost touch with their constituency. Make congress work for the citizens!
