Recent polls suggest that the American public is severely misinformed. With an informed public being the greatest asset to the well being of the country, we would like to see legislation that would make it a federal offense for politicians, media outlets, or anyone that holds a position that the american public would trust to receive accurate information from, to blatantly lie, misinform, or distort facts for the purpose of promoting a political agenda.
