Introduce a legislative bill that sets term limits for all Congressional representatives.

Created by T.N. on October 09, 2015

Since Washington, most presidents have served no more than two terms. After FDR, it became law that a president could not legally serve more than two terms, for fear of the power that comes with the position. Our legislative representatives have far too much influence and power than their historical counterparts, and they should be held to the same standards as the President. A legislative bill brought by the people of the United States should be presented before Congress that creates term limits for every congressional representative. This law should possibly be introduced as an amendment to our Constitution so that it must be ratified by state assemblies, rather than the offices it is designed to regulate. Representatives in office for thirty years no longer represent their constituents.
