The Pope and the Dalai Lama are two of the most influential religious leaders in the world today. The new Pope appears to share many of the Dalai Lama's beliefs regarding tolerance and justice.
If these two men could become close friends, they would set an amazing example for other religions around the world. Imagine if they could form a group of religious leaders from all religions dedicated to redirecting religious teachings away from intolerance and towards love, acceptance and equality for all people.
I would request that President Obama broker a meeting between these two leaders, if only to see what might be possible.
