Protect our Schools, Protect our Future would be a program that allows for innovation & national standardization of the steps schools are required to take with their staff & property to properly protect each student. This program would cover all levels of education from elementary to college level.
Innovation would come first to create concepts & technologies that work with today's safety concerns. Examples of this would be functional security systems to control & restrict access to students before, during or after a criminal event takes place. Or new college programs & incentives to allow law enforcement members to covertly protect a classroom & further an education at the same time. Standardization would follow, requiring schools to comply to federal standards in order to get funding.
