While I know Jefferson thought that it was important for our country to have a large line of credit, he was not in favor of using it. We must immediately halt the swelling of our more than $16,000,000,000,000 dollars in debt and begin to do what every responsible or semi-responsible American has to do with any debt he or she has amassed; pay it off, not lower borrowing over ten years; I mean start paying it off now. We have long since reached our limit and our future depends on us now to say "Enough!"
