My petition would for Congress to impose their own term limits, to prevent "career politicians" from corrupting our legislative system in this country. ALL members of the house and senate can ONLY serve two (2) four year terms, totaling 8 years altogether.
It has been proven repeatedly that career politicians are the most corrupt. When the percentage of Americans who are millionaires is less than 1%, it's quite disturbing that 50% of our members of Congress are millionaires.
I feel that eliminating "lobbying", which used to be called "bribery", would help get this country back on track, taking corrupt officials and big business special interest money out of our political system.
