Similar to the term limit imposed to the Executive branch in the United States after the passing of FDR, there needs to be term limits established for our elected officials in the House and Senate. It will limit the amount of time wasted raising campaign funds each election and will make the senators/representatives more willing to take actions as there won't be a fear of losing their last election. I feel that one term limit is enough for the US Senate as they are 6 years and each member will get to see a total of three different senates. For the House there should be a 4 year limit, which can mean one term for states with a 4 year term or 2 elections for states with a 2 year term. This will also bring more citizen involvement in the government, and increase voter turnout.
