Invade Canada to acquire their oil and natural resources, as well as to eliminate the Toronto Maple Leafs from existence

For the past 200 some years since our glorious revolution of 1776, we have allowed the French, British, and indigenous population of Canada to thrive as their own country with no direct connection to The United States of America aside from the usual international trade relationship. Canada has become an icon to many nations on how to handle nationalized health care and frankly, they're just making America look bad. I implore the US government to invade Canada and claim it as our own territory. We could greatly reduce how much debt we add to our nation yearly if we do not have to go through the OPEC nations of the Middle East to get fuel for our millions of cars. Also, as an American who enjoys hockey, I believe that the Maple Leafs are the bane of the National Hockey League.
