We are deeply concerned about the rights of Ukrainian-speaking minorities and Ukrainian compatriots in Russia.
The situation in Russia is limiting the rights of Ukrainian minorities, making it punishable to speak their own language, and banning civic organizations that did not suit to Russian authorities. Millions of Ukrainians are living in Russia under violence by Russian ultra-nationalists who jeopardize their interests. Russian extremists also posed a threat to the lives of ethnic Ukrainians.
In connection with the extraordinary situation that has developed in Russia and the threat to ethnic Ukrainians and Ukrainian compatriots we hereby appeal to the President of USA to use the US Army on the territory of Russia until the social and political situation in that country is normalized.
