There needs to be an independent audit and inventory of the gold in Fort Knox. The gold in Fort Knox was provided by the taxpayers of the United States of America and every generation deserves to see it for themselves.
The public have not seen any of the gold in Fort Knox since 1974. This was only due to public outcry. Many things have changed since 1974 including a housing market collapse, several wars, several scandals, and many financial collapses around the world, including Greece.
The public deserve to know that the gold we provided to the U.S. Treasury is still safe and secure in the last place it was seen.
This inventory and audit should be transparent and accoutable in the form of mutiple news agencies, public, and private entities.
