Fatalities, Injuries, and economic inefficiencies from congestion on our highways is a national disgrace. We have the capability to build a national 300 mph Maglev network for passengers and freight trucks that can operate at the lowest cost of any existing public carrier! 5 cents per passenger mile compared to 15 cents for air, 58 cents per auto mile and $1 per passenger mile for Amtrak's Acela. As a highway freight truck carrier the Maglev system can carry trucks at 300 mph for 10 cents a ton mile. The Network would be of enormous benefit to the economy of the U.S. The privately financed Maglev system would save every man, woman, and child about $1,000 annually in costs of goods and travel. All we have to do is build a Maglev Test Facility to certify the system as a public carrier
