Invest in America's future by doubling NASA's budget to rejuvenate a spirit of innovation in our country.

Our national investments in NASA and sending American's to the moon inspired more than a decade of innovation in nearly every sector including energy, technology and telecommunications - giving rise to the personal computer, mobile phones, GPS and thousands of everyday technologies we take for granted today. There is a direct correlation between those investments and our economy, our workforce, our national pride and the choices our youth make for their future. It was a picture of our home from the moon that inspired the first Earth day, that led to a greater understanding of our inter-connectedness, that led to our first thinking about our planet and how we treat it and each other. There are too many good reasons to list in this petition for doubling NASA's budget instead of cutting it.
