invest in America's infrastructure.

Created by R.P. on March 19, 2013

I believe it is time the United States government started making serious improvements in the country's infrastructure. It is time that the U.S. catches up to other first world nations that have surpassed the standard of living in almost every category. It's time to stop the tall talk of change and actually make change.
The first priority is education. Education is in investment with infinite returns. Then upgrade the energy and clean water infrastructure to ensure that minimum of standard living.
If the ASCE Infrastructure Report Card is accurate, it would only take a 3 trillion dollar investment. Certainly, the U.S. can afford this if the equivalent amount is being spent on war. Plus, you would also create a lot of jobs in the process.
