Invest in green energy sources and wean the country off of Petroleum.

There are many ways the U.S. could generate power, geothermal plants, tidal turbines, and yet we still use damaging materials to create power. The U.S. could potentially be the leader in another Industrial Revolution if more was invested into the research of green energy. It would also wean our dependency on foreign shipments of oil. The designs could be sold off, and people trained to run the plants could be used over seas to train foreign students how to use the technology. It would help America shake off the dust and get back to work as well. America would be a leader in power, clean air, and jobs. The military advantages are beneficial as well, less money spent on oil, more money spent on defense of the homeland. It is a win-win situation.
