Invest heavily in high speed train infrastructure to create jobs and open up an alternative to expensive air travel.

When it comes to travel options around the US, we have to choose between long drives and expensive air travel. Our current bus and train options are outdated and slow compared to the rest of industrialized nations. High speed rail travel times are similar to air travel times when you consider the time spent checking bags, going through airport security, boarding/exiting the plane, and waiting for luggage to arrive. Seating is generally more comfortable on trains and boarding times are much faster because there are multiple entry and exit points on a train. It's time for the US to catch up with the rest of the modern world and invest heavily in high speed railways!
