Our infrastructure is old, falling apart, and has a huge continuous environmental cost. Once, a long time ago, our nation shocked the world with our amazing highway system. We ask that the Obama administration hold a contest to invest in the building of a "Hyperloop" system to connect our cities, create thousands of jobs, ease the environmental impact of travel in our country, and give us back pride in our nations ingenuity as a world leader. The Obama administration should pick two cities with a promise to start construction in one year of the "Hyperloop" design submitted by the contest winner. With this prize on the line schools, engineers, and people all over the country will race to complete a feasible "Hyperloop" design and turn this piece of old science fiction into a todays reality.
