This is self explanatory - our great country's power lines are still run on wooden sticks above the ground. So every time a major hurricane, winds, or a snowstorm hits like currently in New England and around the northeast, millions of our citizens are stuck without power, property damage, countless hours of wasted productivity, and even lives lost as a result. Not to mention the high cost of repair every time those power lines break down.
This story has been repeated countless times all around the country, and is unraveling before us in the northeast once again. The fact that we go through this cycle of maintaining archaic outdated energy transmission technology today is an embarrassment and a shame. Updating our power lines will also uplift the economy and create jobs.
