We The People of The United States of America do believe that the economy of our nation is dependent upon our ability to quickly and efficiently move goods and services via roads, rail, cargo ships, and similar methods.
We hereby petition the Federal government to reduce the typical 22% budget allocation on defense spending (as said in FY 15' budget) and increase the measly 3% we allocate for transportation.
We believe that the budget should be balanced and are requesting to reallocate existing funds, not increase total spending.
We further believe that in doing so, we will create more engineering and construction jobs right here in our homeland.
