Invest in our future and our children's future.

In 2013 the National Institute of Health will fund 700 less projects than in 2012. Our scientists are spending more time writing grants than actually researching making the research less efficient. About 20% of our scientists are considering bolting to foreign countries that will greet them with open arms and wide smiles. We were once the country all the rest chased, to the moon, to lay phone lines, to the internet, to the automobile. Now we're quickly becoming the country that chases the others. Every subsequent generation has left the U.S. and indirectly, through science, the entire world better than the previous now we are perilously close to leaving it worse. Even with all the benefits science still is cut and waved off. Please, for the good of every single person, reverse this.
