I take transit every day. Not too long ago, the federal government made a promise to transit agencies that the feds would pay for the capitol projects, but the agency would pay for it's operating budget. The Federal government has since not held it's promise. The stimulus helped, but it should have been much heavier on infrastructure. Now we have a huge backlog of projects that have to get built and completed.
The Federal government must pay close attention to Multimodal Transit agencies which operate more than 3 modes of transit, as they have the toughest jobs.
Invest in our nation's transit systems.
