The answer, it seems, to many of today's issues can be found in the sage writings of the early sci-fi Fathers and their successors who generally used the film medium to convey the hidden truths they had learned.
In these movies we find various depictions of the utopian society. All of them seem to have a particular area they believe needs improvement (the environment, transportation, inter-species relations etc.). While they differ on the exact form the ideal society will take, nearly all of them (ignore The Matrix) agree that the coming future age of peace, enlightenment, and perhaps time travel, must necessarily be preceded by the invention,distribution, and perfection of AI.
Healthcare? Droid doctors! Manufacturing? Droid workers! Immigration? Droid..amnesty agents! The future is now!
