The United States of American cannot stand for its best ideals and also support human trafficking actively or tacitly.
The behavior alleged is unforgivable, and a clear accounting with history is the best way to preserve the values for which America stands.
Support the End Trafficking in Government Contracting Act (S 2234) publicly, but go further. New regulatory behavior is of secondary importance.
Use executive power to launch a thorough investigation into US military contractors who have and continue to subcontract to human traffickers.
Publicly name and shame the worst offenders found in such an investigation, and consider banning these offenders from receiving government contracts in the future.
