Investigate and direct Pentagon to forgive the decade-old California Nat'l Guard bonus overpayments to its members.

Created by E.S. on October 23, 2016

Around 10,000 California National Guard members are being forced to repay bonuses paid to them in return for reenlisting and in-theater tours during the Iraq and Afganistan wars. The CA Guard was not authorized to pay out these bonuses and did so only to reach recruiting goals. Ten years later the Pentagon has decided to recoup the money by collecting the amounts paid to each member using all available methods including docked pay and liens.
