In 1994 our government passed a law authorizing the Pentagon to donate surplus " Cold War Era" military equipment to local police departments. In the 20 or so years since then the same military equipment that was designed to be used on foreign soil is now being used in America against American citizens on American soil.The militarization, use of militarized policing techniques "SWAT" and the mental state of many American police officers has become life threatening and a danger to all American citizens. According to statistics over 5000 American citizens have lost their lives as a result of police brutality since 9|11 and numbers are rising. We the people of America employ you to look into this matter and enact laws to better control the very force that is suppose to be protecting us.
