Social media has been a hot topic of late. Unfortunately, many have used the social platforms to promote hate and violence, and a portion of that has led to real life confrontations.
An example would be Thomas Dimassimo, whose attempt to attack Donald Trump was thwarted by Secret Service. A search for "Assassinate [candidate]" on Twitter provides thousand upon thousands of leads for law enforcement.
In light of this near attack and calls for the suppression of free speech by organizations like MoveOn.org, any and all threats to the right of life towards any individual deserve to be looked at and not simply swept under the rug.
We the People demand our justice department to seriously look into, and reach out regarding, violent rhetoric to reduce real life acts of violence.
