Abuse of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is supposed to be a federal offense, yet very little has been done to combat this abuse. The most recent example of this phenomenon involves SEGA, a popular video game company, filing DMCA takedown notices against videos that discuss their popular Shining Force series. These notices are even being used against videos with no gameplay footage from the games in question. Even if the videos did have gameplay footage, many of them had commentary, making them fall under the category of "fair use". We, the undersigned, ask the Obama Administration to investigate this and all other cases of DMCA abuse.
