It has come to the attention of the American public that the government no longer scrutinizes tax exemptions for religious entities.
This petition is a request by the people to create a special task force or government entity to scrutinize ALL religious entities that claim tax exemption.
These exemptions should only apply to those religious entities who recognize the separation of church and state. It is a fact that some churches flagrantly violate this rule and the results have been a disaster for American politics.
It is our belief that religion has no blanket role in American government. Faith is a personal matter. Only by remaining secular can the government treat citizens and people from abroad of diverse faiths and practices as equally as possible.
