In Russia reporting President about the facts of corruption and criticizing his activity leads to criminal charges.
On 04.03.2016 Olga Li a regional lawmaker of Kursk (regional city) and the editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper published a video on YouTube of accusing Putin of destructing Russia. She accuses Putin of closing both eyes to the rampant corruption in Russia.
After that the Russian Investigative Committee, the superpower of attorney, had opened a criminal case for ‘disseminating information aimed at inciting hatred and hostility to all officials in the institutions of state power’ (Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code).
As a world leader in protecting human rights, the U.S. has a moral obligation to expose this crime, stop it and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
