Investigate and reconsider the tax-exempt status of colleges and universities participating in the NCAA

Billions of dollars a year are filtered to many colleges and universities through the NCAA, primarily through major football and basketball programs. A select group of these colleges take in millions of dollars each through media contracts, licensing agreements, and ticket sales, similar to comparable professional organizations. However, these institutions have set up a system that unfairly compensates the student-athletes that are directly responsible for this revenue. These institutions are tax-exempt. Either these organizations should be made to distribute a larger share of the sports-related revenue to the student-atheletes that earn it for the school or these institutions should lose their tax-exempt status putting them on par with similar professional organizations that are not.
