Investigate and ultimately hold responsible those public officials and bureaucratic agents connected to the “Curveball” intelligence that precipitated the invasion of Iraq in 2003. The almost 5,000 coalition and countless Iraqi civilian casualties deserve this investigation. Although the need for their existence is understood, throughout its history the C.I.A. has taken many actions in detriment to U.S. security as well as world peace yet unlike public officials who are held accountable through electoral process or media coverage, the independence and lack of accountability of this agency is frightening and disheartening.
