We believe to make schools safer from random acts of violence, school staff need some means to stop attackers. However we understand the risk of guns in schools is also a concern.
Many non-lethal weapon options are available - pepper spray guns with 25 foot range, stun guns with 35 foot range, and more. We believe such weapons could protect students with minimal risk.
We believe the federal government should assess the effectiveness and safety of such products in a school environment. Should such products be deemed safe and effective, immediately deploy such weapons to our public schools.
