VA regional office staff members regularly practice things that are wrong, illegal, and attrocious. I know, I worked in one such facility. They will do things like hide entore stacks of veteran claim mail to avoid having to deal with it. They will take hard cases and scan them out of their desk, then hide it under their desk so they won't have to spend too much time on one case file. My favorite, this one made me cry when I discovered it was being done, is when the VSR will outright deny the claims stating there is nothing in the service treatment records. Said records actually had all supporting information. They would just deny a vet because it was quicker than actually working the case.
Again, I witnessed this regularly as an employee at the Regional office in Waco, TX.
