For the past decade there has been an alarming number of cancer deaths in our community. In addition to the EPA misclassifying coal ash waste, there has also been a campaign misleading the public to the dangers of coal ash. It introduces heavy metals to our environment and that causes cancer.
To combat this we are petitioning for:
-formal investigations of cancer instances and cancer deaths in the communities effected by Belews Creek Stream Station Coal Ash Depository
-campaigns defending the public from coal ash waste misinformation
-stop and desist on all Coal Ash dump construction because of it's health hazards
This is a matter of public health and calls for a review by the Office of the Surgeon General of the United States. We must educate and protect our communities.
