In an ongoing attempt to subvert the will of the electorate, Republicans in the House and Senate did willfully conspire to shut down the government. This is in direct conflict with the oaths each of them swore to the United States when they took office. They then acted in a seditious manner, inciting other people to protest the results of an action they themselves orchestrated. In light of this, these Congressmen and Senators need to stand trial for sedition to both punish the instigators and to stand as a warning that further outrageous behavior under the color of authority will not be tolerated by members of the government.
