The Delaware North Corporation, a concessionaire in Yosemite National Park for decades, has been replaced with another vendor after a competitive bidding process. Delaware North now insists that they own Trademark for historically significant and precedent park properties as a condition of their original contract with the Nationl Park Service - although they made no attempt to register the Trademarks until 2002.
Delaware North is now demanding that the taxpayer pay over $50 million for the rights to these national treasures.
We petition the USPTO to investigate and invalidate Delaware North's claims and prevent the extortion of the public and renaming of park landmarks that have been run by a succession of third party vendors for over 100 years in some cases.
