Sens. Sharrod Brown and Charles Grassley wrote to the DoJ in January 2013 asking if the “too big to fail” status of some Wall Street megabanks undermines the Government’s ability to prosecute large financial institutions and impose appropriate penalties. The DoJ has been elusive at best in responding.
The President must instruct Attorney General Holder to be completely transparent in responding to the Senators and outline a new policy that will both investigate and prosecute when appropriate any and all organizations and individuals who were complicit in creating the financial crisis of 2008.
