In his handling of the sentencing of Stacey Rambold, convicted of raping 14-year-old Cherice Moralez, who later committed suicide, and his subsequent comments on the case, District Judge G. Todd Baugh has demonstrated gross incompetence as a judge. This petition asks that the Justice Department, or other appropriate agency, investigate Judge Baugh's apparent inability to perform his job as a judicial official and, if necessary, begin the process of impeachment. His comments demonstrate a misunderstanding of the law, the crime, and the entire situation as a whole, as well as extreme callousness towards the victim in this case and sex crime victims overall.
