The U.S. employs weaponized drones throughout the Middle East, targeting and killing enemies of the U.S. In any war, it is expected that some innocent life will be lost. However, there is suspect that the drone program is responsible for a disproportionate amount of civilian deaths to its intended targets.
Congress, please investigate the U.S. drone program for signs of abuse on the matter. Drones are a tool to prevent terrorism, not perpetuate it. If drones are being used in a responsible and humane manner then by all means continue the program. However, the American public must be able to check this power and to do so we must be certain that the drone program is using its power humanely.
