Erratic scheduling:
My 21yo daughter is being exploited by Old Navy. She has worked there for three years+, yet to receive benefits, and never accrues paid time off. Her schedule is given days before her work week. This is a practice of retail companies so that employees are unable to apply for another job. They are paid minimum wage or close to it, yet unable to look for other jobs. Hostages!
Exploitation:
My daughter has not had a vacation in over three years. She is a single mom and is raising two children, yet unable to take any time off because she can not afford it. She is asked to work extreme hours (ex. start shift at 2:30 a.m.) during the holiday season, yet not compensated extra. Exploited!
