Investigate ExpressScripts/Medco,which has taken over prescription services for medicaid managed care.

Express Scripts, formerly Medco, has taken over medical prescriptions for 'Medicaid managed care' through private insurance companies, such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield. This company has a ridiculously long approval process for most prescriptions. I will be lucky to get a new prescription in 3 weeks, even though it is a pharmacy pick up. The doctor ad the patient have to call and fax and jump through hoops for almost every medication. Their policies are complicated, lack reason and sometimes force people to accept medication by mail even when they say they are no longer in need of the medication. My doctor and my pharmacist are at their wit's end and citizens who rely on medicaid managed care are experiencing this nightmare. This company has come between doctor and patient.
