Investigate Facebook's responsibility on the spread of fake and misleading news in Election 2016.

Created by B.L. on November 10, 2016

The spread of fake and misleading news is a growing problem on platforms such as Facebook. In the 2016 election season, it appears that Facebook’s algorithms, editors (and et al.) intentionally promoted and spread fake and misleading news which appeared real. This may have influenced users on the platform to make certain decisions that may be harmful to our Democracy. Facebook, and its founder (Mark Zuckerberg) and board members (e.g. Peter Thiel) profited on spreading fake and misleading news. Please investigate Facebook's responsibility in intentionally spreading fake and misleading propaganda that mislead its ~200,000,000 American users (or 2/3rds of the U.S. population) in the 2016 elections. Note, news sources may involve foreign interference into U.S. elections.
