Investigate the financial transactions of ALL members of Congress who vote for a government shutdown.

Created by B.R. on September 29, 2013

We ask the Department of Justice to investigate the recent financial transactions of ALL members of Congress, their close family, their business associates, their staff, and their large campaign donors in order to determine if they attempted to personally profit from a government shutdown.

Shutting down the government of the United States has serious implications for the value of:

-U.S. dollar
-U.S. government debt (and the interest rates we pay)
-U.S. stock market

Sadly, we have reached the conclusion some members of Congress might be playing games with the operations of the U.S. government so they can profit from holding the nation's economy hostage. To restore trust in government we ask the President of the United States to order the Department of Justice to investigate Congress.
